Gallery Cafe on the Dublin Road

Gallery Cafe, Belfast, Dublin Road.

When socialising and eating out, I usually stick to the many places in and around the Cathedral Quarter – although, great reviews of Gallery Cafe on the Dublin Road, pulled me there.

I love the idea of New York industrial chic, paired with locally sourced food and my visit to Gallery didn’t disappoint. Stepping through the doors, with the oversized chandelier, the different levels of seating, the funky music and chatter, I could have easily been in any cosmopolitan city in the world.

The artwork on the walls is a great addition and reflects the local talent of both well known and up and coming artists. The menu is varied and original, with lots of organic and fresh ingredients. Coffee, tea, gin and cocktails mean it’s a perfect setting, no matter what the occasion.

The atmosphere was relaxed, even though it was a busy afternoon and I happily enjoyed my lunch soaking up the atmosphere, appreciating the art and music. You can tell Gallery Cafe has been well thought out – from the involvement of Feng Shui expert, Master San Wu, to linking with local wine merchants and I loved the whole experience.

It’s definitely not your average cafe, serving average food, in an average setting – it’s something very special and a fantastic addition to Belfast! The Gallery Café can be found at stop 13 on the Belfast City Sightseeing Hop On Hop Off tour.
