CS Lewis Square in Belfast.

A year on from the opening of CS Lewis Square in East Belfast and what a year it has been! A real success story for the East, which has attracted visitors from far and wide to take in the magic this public space has to offer.

Just a short distance from the city centre, you can also ‘hop on and off’ at Stop 8 on the Belfast City Sightseeing tour – meaning it’s easy to include this visit as part of other activities and sightseeing in the city.

Bronze sculptures, based on characters from Lewis’, ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’ fill the space and you can take your time appreciating Irish artist, Maurice Harron’s work – including Aslan, Mr Tumnus, Mr and Mrs Beaver, the Stone Table and The White Witch.

Nearby is the EastSide Visitor Centre – where you can find a map to help you identify the sculptures, find information on other Belfast attractions, a gift shop, as well as the fantastic coffee shop ‘JACK’, named after CS Lewis which serves locally sourced produce.

What a wonderful way to spend some time in Belfast; celebrating and enjoying the works of CS Lewis. A must see and definitely worth a visit!
