Hockey night is back in Belfast on the 23rd of September with the first game in what is being called the ‘Arena Conference’. With the four biggest teams in it, competition is fierce and every game is going to be a hard fought grinding session with tempers sure to flare.
The Steelers are back in Belfast and they have one of the best sets of travelling fans in the league, always a big crowd when the Steelers are in town!
With a quite international team, the Steelers are looking for a win in Belfast after the two teams traded for second and third through the 2016/17 season. Expect a loud crowd, as the Steelers fans won’t forget that they ended up behind the Giants, and the home fans won’t forget it was the Steelers who knocked them out of the Playoffs last year.
Visiting fans would do well to try the Belfast Citysightseeing tour, with a special price for any travelling hockey fans. Just show your game ticket for the concession price. Belfast is a compact but interesting city, and the Titanic Museum, Ulster Museum and Crumlin Road Gaol are must see attractions. The SSE is on the tour route as well, and just a short walk back into the city with the famous nightlife of Belfast. Giants fans are friendly and always happy to show off their city.
The SSE is on our route, at stop number 3, and it is a short walk back from the Arena to the City Centre and Belfast’s famous nightlife!
You can hop-off the Belfast City Sightseeing tour at stop number 3 to visit ‘The SSE Arena’.
